Honoring the Past. Shaping the Future

At Alrayan, our heritage is more than history — it’s the soul of our brand. Born in the heart of the Middle East, shisha smoking has long been a cherished tradition — a ritual of connection, conversation, and culture. Rooted in centuries of storytelling and hospitality, the shisha experience is deeply woven into the fabric of Middle Eastern life. It’s where families gather, friendships flourish, and time slows down.

Alrayan was founded on this spirit — a deep respect for the cultural significance of shisha, paired with a bold vision to elevate it for the modern world. What began in Jordan, steeped in tradition, has grown into a brand headquartered in Dubai that reflects innovation, excellence, and global influence. Today, shisha lounges, gatherings, and rituals are found far beyond the region — from Europe to North America, from exclusive venues to intimate moments at home — and we are proud to be part of this evolution.

Our brand heritage is built on quality craftsmanship, authentic flavor profiles, and cultural pride. We honor the origins of molasses-making while infusing every blend with contemporary standards of precision and purity. With over 50 signature flavors, we strive to deliver an experience that’s both timeless and trendsetting.

To us, heritage is not about preserving the past in glass — it’s about carrying it forward, beautifully. Alrayan is proud to represent a legacy that lives on in every puff, every gathering, and every flavor — no matter where in the world it’s enjoyed.

Our logo and its HISTORY

The Story Behind the Alrayan Logo

Rooted in centuries of history, the Alrayan logo blends rich symbolism from the global evolution of tobacco.

The Tobacco Leaf

Our iconic leaf traces back to the Nicotiana plant, named after French ambassador Jean Nicot, who introduced tobacco to Europe in the 16th century as a medicinal remedy. First discovered by Columbus in the Americas, tobacco held cultural and spiritual value for Indigenous peoples. Its rapid spread across Europe led to its use as both medicine and even currency—before its addictive nature was fully understood.

By the 1700s, new forms of tobacco use emerged, including the invention of shisha (hookah) in the Indian subcontinent. Shisha quickly became popular across the Middle East and Asia, shaping a cultural ritual that lives on through brands like Alrayan.

The Santa Maria Ship

A nod to Columbus’s historic voyage, the ship represents the moment tobacco crossed oceans—ushering in a new global trade.

The Alhambra Palace

This iconic Spanish landmark reflects the Moorish influence on Andalusia—once a major hub for tobacco trade and a key region in the spread of shisha to Europe and the Middle East.

Together, these elements form the soul of Alrayan: a modern shisha brand deeply connected to the timeless story of tobacco.
